Words of Wisdom

If enough of us choose to change even one small thing, together we have the power to change anything.

Home away from Home...

Hi everyone!

I thought you might to see my "Home away from Home". Here is my desk on the far side of the living room. It is sufficient for what I need at this time.

Rob, Chris notice the T-shirt....Thanks! I love it.

The living room...the location of the flag is out of any direct or indirect sunlight. I am still waiting for pictures of my Grandfather to put around it. In the foreground is the blanket I finally finished for myself.

My tiny kitchen.... There is only room for one person at a time.... I have received a new oven since I took this picture, it cooked at 75 degrees hotter than it should of. My new one comes with instructions! Happily I am learning how to cook on an electric stove/oven. However, I still prefer the gas stove and oven.

My beloved Eddie Bauer...may it RIP. I finally got my new bed this past week and find I am much warmer off the floor than I was on it! I'll show it off later.

My tiny bathroom....again only one person at a time.

As you can see it is a fairly nice apartment. The location as far north in Arcata as you can go. It is about 3 miles from HSU. The bus stop is just 5 apartment buildings from mine. So an easy trip to school.

Well, that is enough for now.... Back to the books.

Peace! C-

Spring Break and the Leaky Mattress Saga...

Okay, I am in mourning for my beloved Eddie Bauer....I've tried the floor and the couch, neither successful. So I have broken down and bought a mattress. Sigh. There goes over a months rent. However, my back and neck will thank me in the long run. So perhaps not so bad.

Thank God it is Spring Break. It started off with me not knowing about Daylight Savings time and arrived at church shortly after Mass started! Not good a thing for the sacristan to arrive AFTER Mass starts. Oh well, everyone survived.

I'm not doing much just hanging out at home, working on a personal project and watching DVD's. Has anyone seen "Nothing" or "Cube"? They are David Hewlett films, 'Nothing" is very funny and "Cube" is more of a psychological fear driven film, but good. Sadly, I still do not have any films that Paul McGillion is in, outside of Stargate Atlantis.

Of course there is A Dog's Breakfast with my favorite guy Paul McGillion (written and directed by David Hewlett). There has not been any news about a release thus far, however, it was at the San Jose Film Feast this past weekend and there was such a demand for tickets that they added another show! So very cool!

The Weather Channel...it is supposed to be nice tomorrow and if it is I will take a day trip to the Avenue of the Giants and see some very old Redwoods and do some musing. Today, however, is cloudy and about 50 degrees.

So time to open the windows and make some more muffins....hum...I have apples, apple muffins sound good.

Peace!

Election Success!...a leaky mattress and the bedroom blues...and....more...rain....

Congratulations to Carl Clark!

He is re-elected for another four years to the Redondo Beach Unified School District Board! RB voters are smart! They saw through the mudslinging and lies.

Woo Hoo!!!!!

Okay....onward to a Leaky Mattress...sounds like a Harry Potter thing....OOO....side track....Harry Potter number seven is being released this July! I need someone to pre-order the book for me....I usually go to Borders by the Del Amo Mall.....Anyone...Anyone? Don't have to pay anything....just get a slip of paper.... .

Okay, back to the Leaky Mattress and the Bedroom Blues. I got in to bed last night and my behind hit the floor! So, I got up and refilled the bed and got in. It was fine....until I woke up this morning and found my behind on the floor again with half the air gone! . Oh well, there is only 3 months of school left...I guess the floor it is.

Hey, my birthday is coming up! An early birthday present... I'm kidding.

Now from the Weather Channel.... After four days of warm 60 degree weather and sunshine...Sing with me now! The rain is falling.... Anyway, it is supposed to last for the next five days (sigh). Just when I was getting over my bad mood.

Well, got to go and study for mid-terms and next week...SPRING BREAK!

Peace
