Renelle Diagnostic Tests of her Liver part 1

10:30 am - *Sniff* - Dropped Renelle off at 8:30, poor thing! Her body language was not a happy girl. She knew something unhappy was up...I tried to be up beat...but alas...I failed. I felt shaky and alone driving away from the Vet, so I went to church for a while, that helped, but I still miss my Beautiful girl....at least I have Kennedy to snuggle with for a bit...don't think Wallis Brozman will let me borrow Caspin for Black dog snuggle time :-). They will call me when it is time to pick her up and we should know the results of the Ultra Sound today and the pathology tests tomorrow. 12:00 pm - Just got back from a walk with Kennedy, felt so odd no having Renelle by my side....even Kennedy was a bit blah about the walk....of course now she is snuggling with Jay....sigh...miss my girl! 2:00 pm - Got my Renelle back! and they shaved her! Renelle update

Renelle goes in on Wednesday 18 April 2012 for the first two of her liver tests. She has to fast and they will be doing an ultra sound and blood tests.  They will take some blood, then feed her some yummy food, wait for two hours and then take some more blood.  By then I should be able to pick her up and take her home.  All of this is possible thanks to CCI.

I don't know who will be more excited to see whom!

Renelle's latest test results

First I want to thank everyone for their support over the past year on this crazy and intense health crisis, sadly it is not over.  Renelle had an appointment with Dr. Ruth on Thursday and she wants me to take Renelle to a liver specialist.  She is not happy with the latest test results on Renelle's blood work and wants to know what is going on.  Monday I will call Renelle's local vet to get a recommendation for a specialist.  She is eating well, hurrying nicely, plays and works happily.

I have already spoken to our incredibly supportive and efficient Grad Office here in the NW region, this is one of those extraordinary circumstances.  Don't forget all the proceeds from Dean Koontz's Trixie books support this program, so if you do not have one of his books, please get one! and pass the word along.

Other than the blood test results Dr. Ruth is happy with Renelle's progress and her weight loss. Dr. Ruth also reminded me that 58lbs was Renelle's teen ideal weight and she is no longer a teen.  Laughing I said "Oh right she hit the big 4!" So 62 lbs is right in the middle of the perfect weight for her. 

Renelle is an incredible girl, she makes my day brighter: hard to be grumpy in the morning with she is licking my face, doing the body wag and requesting her morning belly rubs.  Life these past two years have been full of joy, hugs, licks, wags, jumps, leans and doggy smiles.  We trust each other completely and this is a perfect match.  I don't know how CCI does it, but they do it every time.   Thanks CCI!

I will be posting on my blog more of this journey, it is long past time I did.
