Words of Wisdom

If enough of us choose to change even one small thing, together we have the power to change anything.

Humboldt County IS at the Edge of the World.....

Hi Everyone!

Tuesday was a day that confirmed that Humboldt County IS indeed at that edge of the world.

Why?

Well, HC has only one (count one) fiber-optic cable that connects us to the outside world and on Tuesday Cal-Trans was doing some work up near Weott and severed the cable. Around 8:30 am until about 9:00 pm we were LOST!

By the wasy Lost is a great T.V. show. LOVE Michael Emerson, he plays Benjamin Linus. I actually like Ben over Jack.......

Anyway, that is way HC is at the edge of the world....sigh.....despite that, it is beautiful and a nice change from the big city.....

Anyway, got to get ready for my Mid-term....

Peace!

P.S. Anyone who meets Michael Emerson...PLEASE get me an autograph and tell him I think he is a fabulous actor!

Words of Wisdom and catch up....

"No man or woman of the humblest sort can really be strong, gentle and good, without the world being better for it, without somebody being helped and comforted by the very existence of that goodness."
- Phillips Brooks

Thanks to all those for touching the world!

Okay catch up. Sorry its been a while. Not much to say but a lot to do. Right now I am trying to get the reading in for my research paper on the Counter Revolution during the French Revolution. I wanted to do Monaco during the French Revolution, but primary sources were not available (much like secondary resources) so I got the next best thing. I am plodding along in my Math class, we shall see. French...I am beginning to understand more, sadly my verbal is about the same.

Well, I have made three kinds of soup thus far...black-eye peas, lentil and butternut squash. The Lentil is AWESOME! As is the butternut.

Okay injuries, I've accumulated a couple over the last two weeks. First I was cutting parsley and sliced through my nail on my index finger on the left hand, it was minor, but it HURT! This morning I slammed the front door on the middle finger of my right hand and now have a lovely bruise and it HURT REALLY BAD! Typing, writing etc. HURT!

So enough for now.....don't forget HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!

Peace!
